Little Black Sands Beach
Located at the north end of Shelter Cove, Little Black Sands Beach is like a miniature version of longer Black Sands Beach, located even further north. Little Black Sands features two coves covered in its namesake pebbly volcanic sand and is shielded by massive rocks at the beginning, middle, and end. If you keep walking past the north of Little Black Sands, you’ll end up on Big Black Sands Beach.
Access to Little Black Sands Beach is from a parking lot at the south end of the beach, where Dolphin Drive dead ends. To get here from Shelter Cove Road, follow Upper Pacific Drive to Lower Pacific Drive to Dolphin Drive.
