Drive right through a massive redwood tree at Shine Drive Thru Tree in Myer’s Flat!

A popular tourist attraction since the days of Model Ts, the Shrine Redwood is a hollowed out chimney tree, or a still-living tree whose trunk has been hollowed by fire. Its owner widened the natural opening in the tree to a 7-foot by-7-foot tunnel to accommodate vehicles and the rest is history.

Visitors can also drive over a fallen redwood log, and explore a kid-friendly two-story tree house and walk-through stump. Gift shop on site features a variety of redwood products.
